PROJECT F.U.N

Project Forget Us Not was developed in 2005 to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi and Louisiana. Our vision was to empower the local church to help their community.

There is still much to do around the hurricane-affected areas. We are partnering with the Jackson County Long Term Recovery Committee in an attempt to help those that are still leaving in FEMA trailers.

We focus on the "un-met" needs of a community after a disaster. Government agencies and many of the larger non- profits focus on the basic needs and as we have experienced with Katrina, many people fall through the "cracks" without having their long term needs met.

Our resources are limited, but together We can make a difference —Almost two years, hundred of volunteers and thousands of dollars in donations later, we have worked in more than 100 homes, and have helped a church as they rebuild in a new area.

Disaster Relief has become an important part of our daily lives as we try to reach out to those that are suffering.

Project Forget Us Not also works with several Islands of the Caribbean as they prepare for yet another hurricane season. During the past couple of years we have sent volunteers and many containers with basic supplies to those affected by hurricanes including Hurricane Wilma.
